You can't get much easier of a salad than a Caprese Salad. Tomatoes and herbs from the garden, some good olive oil, mozarella cheese, and a dash of salt and pepper.
- Tomatoes - a good slicing tomato works best here
- Fresh Basil
- The best Mozarella you can get, preferably traditional Buffalo Mozarella
- Olive Oil, again the best you can find for full flavour
- Salt & Pepper
Slice the tomatoes and mozarella into equal sized slices. Alternate layers of tomato, mozarella, then basil. Drizzle with olive oil and a touch of salt and pepper. You Caprese Salad is ready to serve.
