Growing Green
As a Greenhouse and Field Grower, we don't really talk about green initiatives. So what have we done to be more green?
Recycling
Gardening uses lots of plastic. It's an unfortunate truth. There's plastic for the greenhouses, plastic for pots, plastic for trays, plastic everywhere. How can we be greener with all this plastic?
George Rofner 1937-2010
It is with great sadness that I must announce that George Rofner, owner of Richmond Nursery, son of Ludwig Rofner and Anna Spiegel, passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 73 during the early hours of the night on October 23rd, 2010. He leaves behind his beloved wife Claudia Rofner, daughter Debbie Rofner (Curt Millar), son Peter Rofner (Sue Secord), and cherished grandson Jakob.

Our History
The Richmond Nursery started our not in it's current location, but in an area called "Ottawa Park" near the dead-end of Ottawa Street. This was behind George and Claudia's original home.
