Richmond Nursery Beans.

We've experimented over the years with different field crops and different types of beans. Unfortunately, most of them did rather poorly, but we discovered we can do a very good job with Romano Beans. Romano beans are a shelled bean and the seed looks white with purple flecks on them. The beans are quite tasty when prepared and are very healthy.

As with tomatoes, our beans are pick-your-own and are sold by the bushel. The field can move locations from year to year for proper crop-rotations. The season typically starts near mid-August and runs until around mid-September. Beans are much more sensitive to temperature and weather so the season is highly variable.
